Due to persistent injuries, Denver Nuggets players Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray will not play in Monday’s road game against the Golden State Warriors.

Murray and Jokic had both been marked as suspect. Jokic suffered a right elbow contusion and left ankle impingement, while Murray suffered a right ankle sprain, according to the official injury report.

Christian Braun, the starting wing for Denver, will also miss the game against the Warriors due to inflammation in his left foot.

On March 10, the second game of a back-to-back road series against the Oklahoma City Thunder, Denver coach Michael Malone made an unsuccessful attempt to convince Jokic to take a break. Jokic declined, defeating the top-seeded team in the Western Conference with a 35-point, 18-rebound, and 8-assist effort the day after a defeat. Jokic has played in eight games in March, averaging 39.8 minutes.

Since then, the Nuggets (43-25) have dropped their last two games. Denver was tied with three other teams for second place in the Western Conference going into the evening.
